Seminarian Nathan Loe instituted as lector at Mount Angel

Please join us in praying for and congratulating Diocese of Spokane seminarian Nathanial Loe, and 13 other Mount Angel seminarians who were instituted as lectors or acolytes during Mass in the Abbey church on March 22. Seminarians designated as acolytes assist at the altar and help distribute Communion during Mass. They are also commissioned to bring Holy Communion to the sick and purify the sacred vessels after Mass

Bishop Jeff Fleming of Great Falls-Billings served as the principal celebrant and instituting prelate. Archbishop Alexander Sample of Portland also concelebrated the Mass alongside many priests and vocation directors of the representing dioceses at the seminary. Father Eugene Tracy, Father Andrew O’Leary and Father Darrin Connall, VG made the trip to Oregon to be present for the Mass and Nathan’s institution.
