2025 Priest Assignments

Bishop Thomas Daly is pleased to announce the following priest personnel assignments, effective July 1, 2025.

Pastor

• Rev. Daniel Barnett is appointed pastor of St. Patrick in Walla Walla.

• Rev. Jeff Core is appointed pastor of Holy Rosary in Pomeroy while remaining pastor of Holy Family in Clarkston.

• Rev. Maria Lazar, HGN is appointed pastor of St. Catherine Parish in Oakesdale, Sacred Heart Parish in Tekoa, and St. Joseph’s of Rockford, with residence at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center.

• Rev. Kevin Oiland is appointed pastor of St. Peter in Spokane.

• Rev. Gustavo “Gus” Ruiz is appointed pastor of St. Joseph and St. Anthony in Spokane.

• Rev. Brian Sattler is appointed pastor of Immaculate Conception in Davenport; St. Francis of Assisi in Harrington; St. Michael in Reardan and the two parishes on the Spokane Reservation, in Ford and Wellpinit.

• Rev. Mike Savelesky is reappointed pastor of Holy Rosary Parish in Rosalia.

• Rev. Curtis Seidel is reappointed Pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish and St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Walla Walla. He is also appointed Administrator of St. Mark Parish in Waitsburg and St. Joseph Parish in Dayton. He will continue to serve as President of Walla Walla Catholic Schools.

• Rev. Esteban Soler is appointed Vicar of the Religious and will continue to serve as Pastor of St. Charles Parish in Spokane.

• Rev. Sean Thomson is appointed to the Chancery in a supportive pastoral and administrative capacity.

• Rev. Paul Vevik is reappointed pastor of Mary Queen in Spokane.

• Rev. Steve Werner is appointed pastor of Our Lady of the Valley in Okanogan; Holy Rosary in Tonasket and Immaculate Conception in Oroville.

Parochial Vicar

• Rev. John Fidelis Kibombo is appointed Parochial Vicar to Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Spokane.

• Rev. Andrew O’Leary is reappointed Parochial Vicar of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Walla Walla and appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Francis of Assisi in Walla Walla, as well as St. Mark in Waitsburg and St. Joseph in Dayton.

Parish Administrator

• Rev. Vincent Gilmore is appointed Administrator of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Spokane and will continue his assignment as pastor of St. Mary of the Rosary Parish in Chewelah.

• Rev. Theo Hwande is appointed Administrator of St. Patrick in Pasco.
